Beautifully shot and choreographed, this romantic musical is not only easy on the eyes, it comes packed with a star studded cast and an immersive plot. World famous film director, Guido Contini (Daniel Day-Lewis) is suffering from a severe writer’s block, and he desperately tries to get himself out of it by drawing inspiration from the women in his life.

While struggling to get his creative juices flowing again, Guido still goes on to attend press conferences to promote his highly anticipated movie Italia, all the while cleverly dodging questions pertaining to the content of the film. The plot of this musical interweaves brilliantly between Guido’s present day struggles to sequences where he flashes back to certain points in his life where he was at his best, in the hopes of igniting his creative spark once again.

Nine was also nominated for four Academy Awards including Best Art Direction and Best Costume Design.
